It’s Friday and I’m flashing you my goods! Today I’m revealing my secret muse that I’ve been working with for over 5 years. Her identity will remain a secret but our process will be disclosed.
Muse: A person who is a source of artistic inspiration.
Last weekend I attended my friend Becca’s Birthday party, I immediately gravitated towards her sister Mia who is an amazing photographer, check out her work here. As we talked about our process as artists she said “my sister is my muse, when I photograph her we always make magic, there is nothing better”. My husband turned to me and asked “do you have a muse?”. Without hesitation, I said “YES!”. My muse is a client who I always make magic with- over the years as my creative eye has evolved she is always there. She books a Boudoir Session with me every year and she also is willing to come in for my new ideas with an open mind and heart. I’m grateful for her willingness to let me experiment with her body and for letting me feel safe to blow it. Often the best new work comes after my big idea has “failed”. My Magical Muse
We’ve both been busy this past year and haven’t had time to shoot, so I’m THRILLED that we have a session booked this week! Stay tuned for the results.
For our last shoot I asked my muse to come in and help me test my new lens a Canon 50mm 1.2, here’s the magic we made:
