I used to think new moms were exaggerating the lack of sleep, I’d think “come on, how hard can it be?”. Well well well. I’ve been eating my words for the past five months, I now know why sleep deprivation is a form of torture. While I’m sick of hearing myself talk about every inane detail of Gemma’s sleep, or lack there of, I do want to share how I manage to fake looking rested most of the time. These five products are a godsend for any of us not getting enough sleep for whatever reason.
My Five Favorite Beauty Products For Faking Good Sleep
This came to me as a sample in a Sephora order and I was immediately sold on it. A light nighttime moisturizer (I tend to have oily skin) that would gradually add some sun kissed color to my face. When you’re living vampire hours this can’t be beat.
My all in one foundation, cover up, sun block, fake flawless product. I got no time and no energy for make up right now. This is perfection in a minute. Although it’s a high price point it’s 4 products in one for me.
I use this when I wash my face at night, it makes my skin feel as soft as Gemma’s bottom, and I feel like I gave myself some kind of self care for the day!
Even if I’m lucky enough to get into the shower each day taking the time to blow dry my hair is a once weekly luxury. In the meantime this product helps me look less frizzed out and frazzled! I get to air dry and still have a smooth pony tail, which is my simple chic go to hairstyle.
Drugstore find of the century! Adds length and volume quickly- and removes just as quickly with warm water and my fingers. Nothing fakes my eyes looking awake and open more than this mascara!
How’re You Sleeping?
Gemma is the best reason I can think of to be losing sleep but still it’s taking it’s toll. How’re you sleeping? Do you have any other tips for me to look like I’m getting more sleep than I am? Would love to hear about your beauty secrets in the comments below. Here’s to more zzzz’s in our future!
