Well she’s finally here and we’re overjoyed! Gemma Rose Cirolia took her time entering this world, but arrived at 7:49 on August 25th ready to party. We had an exhilarating first week, and it was love at first sight even for big brother Shea. Below are some of my favorite images from her debut, Gemma will have a big announcement in my newsletter mid-month so if you haven’t signed up make sure you do so below!
Gemma entered our world alert and ready to party, Tom was an amazing labor coach and then quickly stepped in as photographer. He made me proud with this shot!
Once the docs were done cleaning me up I grabbed the camera, she already knows she’ll get whatever she wants from this guy.
I had an incredible stay at NY Presbyterian, I had a shared room all to myself and the nurses made me feel like I was at a spa. Not to mention my room was on the east river (sure beats an east village view), it was so serene watching the boats go by all day.
My photographer friend Alex Kroke visited to take some pictures of us the day after delivery, a moment in time for sure…
How on earth did she fit inside me? She’s almost 2 feet long, and I’m just 5 feet tall!
I arrived at the hospital Monday morning for routine testing with my iPhone and metro card, 3 days later we left with our family and a suitcases full of gifts.
Home sweet home. Let’s feed and sleep and poop and then do it again and again and again….
Week 1 is done already. Her umbilical cord stump has fallen out and we get to see her cute little belly button.
