Hi. It’s me Shea again. I LOVE the Mets. My Dad named me Shea because he loves the Mets now I loves the Mets. Last month on Facebook my friend Tug invited me to Bark in The Park at Citifield to watch a game with him. He’s very popular and has been to a lot of games so I was REALLY excited. He said we could walk on the field and sit in our own section!!!
My Mom and Dad (well mostly my Mom) was worried because I have been having some of what they call “incidents” and not being very nice to dogs I don’t know when I’m on the leash. There were going to be 500 other dogs so they thought maybe I would have an “incident” and have to leave right away. They were wrong (like usual)(mostly my Mom again). I was on my best behavior ever because I love the Mets, even if they lost. Do you want to see what an amazing day I had? Take a look I’ll tell you all about it!
First Stop Dog Parade
Then we waited and waited and I had to lay down. I had to take some dramamine for the car ride and I was still a little groggy.
Once the team was done warming up they open the gates and we FINALLY got to Parade around the field!
We gots to go to our own section to watch the game! But we had to go up 5 flights of stairs. Everyone was really slow. Especially Tug.
When we gots to the top there was another line and everyone had to catch their breath but I was fine. I could haves runs up another 12 flights.
Tug was wiped out.
Before we went to our seats my mom said we should all go to the bathroom. Great idea since I always have to go. The Mets put some grass out for me and my friends. Everyone else had to go inside to use the bathroom.
We got to sit in the Pepsi Porch. Killer seats I could see everything.
PRETZEL????!!!! I know I smell a soft pretzel!!!!
PLEEEEEEEZE!!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEEZE!!!! Come on DADDY!!! COME ON COME ON COME ON!!!! YES YES YES!!!!
Great play, high five!
7th Inning Stretch
Things were getting a little rough on the field and I looked around to see what my buddies thought.
Time to find Tug.
It wasn’t looking great for our team. As you see the crowd was lame in our section so I text Tug and he said come on over to his section and have a beer with him!
It was rockin’ there.
I got a little buzzed and bit Tug on his ass so I had to go to the other end of the row and chill out with my Uncle Mike who came all the way from NJ to go to the game with me.
Can’t Win Em All.
In the end we lost but I had the best time with my Dad. Thank you for believing I could do it even though Mom thought it was a HUGE mistake to even try. I love you.
See you next time Citifield!
