This past Saturday I got a call from Chinese Actress Lily Shi’s assistant Steven asking if we could arrange a “Spring in New York” location photo shoot for the following day. I checked with weather.com and it was going to reach a whopping 25 degrees fahrenheit . Perhaps they could wait a month or two? Well no, Lily was only in from Shanghai for 2 days. This winter has been one of the meanest I can remember and it’s still not giving up at the end of March but if they were game I would be there. Lily did an incredible job “acting” like it was SPRING. I was bundled to the point that I lost some mobility. Michelin man bundled. Lily was romping around in Spring dresses and sunnies without a complaint. She did insist on a caramel macchiato break and then we were right back out there! We shot in Central Park and Columbia University, the images will be used on her website and in magazines in China.
We started with this bright yellow elegant Kate Spade dress.
Nothing says spring like sparkle and red sunnies!
Then up to Columbia University where she studied a few years ago.
Last stop Ollie’s Noodle Shop for some indoor lifestyle images. Lily styled her long sleeve dress into 3 distinct looks, valuable fashion lesson for me!
First long sleeves.
Then 1 sleeve.
Then a halter!
Well done Lily Shi! A delight to work with you!
