I had the good fortune to get an invite to the gorgeous Catskills this past weekend with my husband Tom and Shea our 10 month old hound doggie. Our friends Gail and Andy have a beautiful home in Olive backed by trails and very close to the slopes. After a busy Christmas week Friday at 4 pm came fast and I was in a mad dash to pack for our escape from NYC. 2 hours later we had a car full of stuff and a drugged 50 pound mutt on my lap (Shea projectile vomits at the site of the car). Off we go!
Long story short my camera bag got left behind. Crap. Well I remembered my phone (thankfully) so that would have to serve as my camera! I love using the Camera Plus Pro App and use it exclusively when I shoot with my phone. There are endless options for enhancing your pictures with this app but for now I’ll focus on contrast. Contrast makes your image POP, especially when shooting landscapes with sky and/or water. I was able to snap away with this app on my hikes then edit by boosting the contrast and brightness to my liking.
Here are a few of my faves from our hikes:
I boosted the contrast and brightness in the “Edit” section of the Camera Plus Pro App by pushing that slider to the right:
I also posted these images and many more to my Instagram account, feel free to check them out and follow me here. As a thank you card to our awesome hosts I created a Printsgram Poster for less than 10 bucks! An easy personalized keepsake to show our gratitude for their open hearts and home.
Happy Trails!!!!
I want you to LOVE how you feel about your image.
